President of Tema Youth FC, Wilfred Osei Palmer has aimed a subtle dig at Nii Lante Vanderpuye, saying the former sports minister “doesn’t understand football”.
The GFA Executive Committee member was speaking in response to comments made by Nii Lante, where he labeled the FA’s management of football as “cow dung” style.

The former sports minister went on blame the GFA for the Black Stars B team’s failure to qualify for the 2018 CHAN tournament in Kenya after losing 2-1 (4-3 and aggregate) to Burkina Faso.
However, responding to Nii Lante’s outburst, Osei Palmer said the former sports minister asserted wrongly, adding that he spoke like a man ignorant about what football entails.
In an interview on Asempa FM, the GFA Chief said: “It is not anyone's motivation [at the GFA] to exhibit a ‘cow dunk’ management style to prevent the team for qualifying for major tournaments and am very surprised with his [Nii Lante’s] assertion.

The latest comments from both men seem to suggest that the bad blood between Nii Lante and the GFA is still prevalent, with the former sports minister engaging in numerous war of words with the hierarchy of the FA during his tenure.
